Specialized Outpatient Trauma and Addiction Treatment for Military and First Responders in Outpatient Care
A Specialized Outpatient Program for Those Who Serve
Unbroken at The Meadows™ Outpatient Centers is a specialized, evidence-based treatment program designed for active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and public safety professionals experiencing post-traumatic stress injuries and co-occurring substance use disorders.
While all of our programs serve military, veteran, and first responder populations across our continuum of care, Unbroken offers dedicated programming tailored specifically to the cultural, occupational, and operational realities of service-driven roles.
Unbroken ouTpatient care
Unbroken at The Meadows™ provides trauma-focused care within a confidential, mission-informed therapeutic environment that fosters trust, confidentiality, and peer connection. Participants receive structured outpatient treatment while maintaining responsibilities at home, work, or within their communities.

Who We Serve
Unbroken at The Meadows™ supports adults who have served or currently serve in high-impact roles, including:
- Active-duty military and veterans
- Military spouses and families
- Law enforcement officers and federal agents
- Firefighters, EMTs, and emergency medical personnel
- Dispatchers, correctional officers, and other public safety professionals
Participants may be functioning at a high level while privately struggling, or they may be experiencing increased symptoms that are affecting family life, work performance, or overall well-being. Unbroken meets individuals where they are, offering focused support grounded in respect for service.
What We Treat
Unbroken addresses the complex and often overlapping challenges common in military, veteran, and first responder populations, including:
- Post-traumatic stress and complex trauma
- Depression, anxiety, and moral injury
- Alcohol and substance use disorders
- Chronic stress, burnout, and emotional numbing
- Sleep disturbances, pain-related concerns, and other co-occurring challenges
- Trauma related to combat exposure, line-of-duty incidents, or sexual assault
- The cumulative impact of repeated or early-life trauma
Care is grounded in the understanding that symptoms are adaptive responses to prolonged stress and trauma, not personal failure.

How We Treat
Participants in Unbroken are fully integrated into the Meadows Outpatient Center treatment program, receiving The Meadows’ comprehensive clinical care alongside additional programming tailored to reflect service-driven identities, responsibilities, and stressors.
Treatment begins with a thorough assessment to determine the appropriate level of outpatient care. Individualized treatment plans may include:
- Trauma-focused therapy
- Addiction treatment when indicated
- Cognitive-behavioral and skills-based therapies
- Peer process groups with shared service backgrounds
- Family involvement and systemic support
- Case management and aftercare planning
Participants may also have access to neuroscience-informed interventions through The Meadows Brain Center to support nervous system regulation, trauma processing, and emotional resilience.

Cultural Competency Alongside Clinical Excellence
Care is grounded in a deep respect for military and first-responder cultures, including the language, values, and responsibilities of service. Our clinical teams bring specialized experience working with these communities and understand the impact of operational stress, repeated exposure to trauma, and the complexity of service-driven identities. Treatment honors both the strength required to serve and the vulnerability required to heal.
Whether through the dedicated Unbroken program or our broader treatment, Meadows Outpatient Centers remain committed to serving those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.
Restoring strength & Stability
Unbroken at The Meadows helps participants address trauma and substance use while honoring the identities shaped by service. Through focused outpatient treatment, individuals build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and enhance their ability to navigate family, work, and community life with greater clarity and resilience. Protecting the protectors™ means offering care that understands both the weight of service and the path forward.
