Mental Health and Crisis Support
The Veterans Crisis Line provides free, confidential support 24/7 for veterans, service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their loved ones. Veterans do not need to be enrolled in VA benefits or healthcare to receive help. Trained responders can be reached by calling 988 and pressing 1, texting 838255, or chatting online.
The Cohen Veterans Network provides high-quality, evidence-based mental healthcare to post-9/11 veterans, active-duty service members, and their families. Services include individual, couples, family, and child therapy, with little to no out-of-pocket cost regardless of discharge status or ability to pay.
Give an Hour connects veterans, military members, and their families with mental health professionals who provide counseling and support. The organization also offers peer support, educational resources, and community programs to promote emotional wellness.

Through real stories from fellow veterans and easy access to information about mental health conditions and treatment options, the program encourages individuals to seek support and connect with local VA and community resources.
Career, Education, and Housing Assistance
The National Resource Directory connects service members, veterans, military families, caregivers, and survivors with thousands of vetted national, state, and local programs. Through a searchable directory, users can access trusted resources for mental health, healthcare, employment, education, housing, financial assistance, benefits, caregiver support, and community services.
VR&E is a Department of Veterans Affairs program that helps veterans and service members with service-connected disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain meaningful employment. Services include career counseling, education and training, resume development, job placement assistance, self-employment support, and independent living services for those whose disabilities impact their ability to work.
A program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Hiring Our Heroes connects veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses, and caregivers with meaningful employment through hiring events, fellowships, networking opportunities, and career development resources.

SVA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans, service members, and military-connected students as they pursue higher education. USA Cares assists post-9/11 military families experiencing financial hardship by providing support for housing, utilities, transportation, employment, and emergency expenses.
NCHV works to end veteran homelessness by connecting veterans with housing assistance, employment services, healthcare, and supportive programs throughout the country.
Operation Homefront provides financial assistance, housing support, caregiver resources, and emergency relief to military and veteran families experiencing hardship.
Service Dog Support
Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors is the nation’s leading provider of trained service dogs to veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma. The organization is committed to saving lives at both ends of the leash.
The TADSAW mission is to provide for the training of a Medical Alert Service Dog for any wounded veteran service member (active duty, retired, discharged) surviving with Military Induced Anxiety Depression Syndrome (MIADS), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and/or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), in order to restore and improve the veteran’s quality of life with a canine ‘Battle Buddy’, at no charge to the veteran or the family.

Through benefits assistance, community service, camaraderie, mental health initiatives, and legislative advocacy, the VFW works to ensure those who served receive the care, recognition, and support they have earned.
DAV is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. DAV provides free assistance with VA disability claims, transportation to medical appointments, employment resources, caregiver support, and advocacy to ensure veterans and their families receive the benefits and services they have earned.
Physical Health and Recreation
Team RWB enriches the lives of veterans by connecting them through physical fitness, meaningful relationships, and shared purposes. Through local events, community service, and wellness activities, Team RWB helps veterans build lasting connections, improve their physical and mental health, and successfully transition to civilian life.
WWP provides programs focused on mental health, physical wellness, career counseling, financial education, and long-term support for post-9/11 wounded, ill, and injured veterans.
Family Support
Military OneSource provides free, confidential support for active-duty service members, National Guard, Reserve members, and their families. Services include non-medical counseling, financial and legal consultations, parenting support, relationship resources, relocation assistance, and wellness tools.
Blue Star Families strengthens military families by creating communities of support through career resources, family programming, caregiver support, social events, and advocacy. Programs help families navigate military life and stay connected.
The National Military Family Association advocates for military spouses, children, caregivers, and survivors. They offer scholarships, camps for military children, caregiver support, educational resources, and policy advocacy.

Mental Health and Crisis Support
Safe Call Now is a confidential, 24/7 crisis referral service designed specifically for first responders, public safety professionals, healthcare workers, and their families. Staffed by trained peers, the organization provides emotional support, treatment referrals, and assistance for stress, burnout, PTSD, substance use, and personal crises.
The Code Green Campaign works to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in first responders. The organization provides education, peer support resources, therapist directories, and suicide prevention information specifically for EMS, firefighters, dispatchers, and law enforcement professionals.
The Fire/EMS Helpline offers confidential support, peer counseling, and referrals for firefighters, EMS professionals, and their family members dealing with stress, trauma, substance use, or behavioral health concerns.
The Wounded Blue provides support and advocacy for injured and disabled law enforcement officers, including mental health resources, financial assistance, and peer support.

FRCE promotes health and wellness across the first responder community by providing research, educational materials, peer support resources, and best practices for addressing PTSD, burnout, and suicide prevention.
The All Clear Foundation supports first responders and their families by connecting them with evidence-based wellness programs, peer support, family education, resilience training, and treatment resources.
Firefighter Resources
The NVFC provides behavioral health resources, educational materials, peer support programs, and access to the Fire/EMS Helpline for volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel.
The IAFF Center of Excellence specializes in treatment for firefighters and paramedics experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, and other behavioral health concerns.

COPLINE is a confidential peer support hotline staffed by retired law enforcement officers who understand the unique challenges of policing. Officers and their families can receive anonymous emotional support and referrals.
Badge of Life promotes mental wellness among law enforcement officers through education, suicide prevention initiatives, officer wellness resources, and peer support.
